do's and dont's

Here are a few guidelines, the do's and dont's of Kundalini yoga:

Yoga mats, blocks/meditation cushions as well as blankets are availbale for use in Ökohaus Arche as well as in the Heidestrasse Kundalini Yoga Centre.

Please wear lose fitting comfortable clothing (preferably light colours & cotton). Try not to eat at least 2-3 hours before a Kundalini Yoga class.  Given that Kundalini Yoga uses many different bandhas (body locks), pranayamas (breathing exercises), asanas and vigorous movement, you could be quite uncomfortable if your stomach is still full.  Have a nutrient bar or a healthy snack if you feel you need some energy prior to the class.

Yoga is normally done barefooted, however during relaxation, as your body temperature will drop considerably, it may be a good idea to put on  socks to keep your feet warm & cozy.

Please also bring a bottle of water so you don't get dehydrated.

Please come 5-10 minutes early so that you have ample time to change and that the class can start on time.

Please do not consume and/or bring alcohol & drugs before/into the class. Kundalini Yoga should never be practiced under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
